Fiba World Cup No. 1 Team

Can still be on top?

The country that is considered as the home basketball in the world. The country that fathered several basketball hall of famers like Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Dennis Rodman. The place where the most dreamed-of league, National Basketball  Association League, for all the basketball players around the world played. Those were some of the facts about the United States of America (USA) that made them the most feared and ideally one of the toughest national basketball teams in the world who will compete for this season’s FIBA World Cup.

After defeating this year’s Basketball World Cup host team country, Spain, during

the final match in the 2012 Olympic competition, USA national basketball team was automatically qualified to join the collision of the 24 countries who are aiming to become number one national team in the world.

Currently, the USA basketball team is keeping the hoop of the strongest national basketball team as they placed at 1st spot in the FIBA World Ranking. This season will be the 18th appearances for the toughest team. Apart from this decade reigning season for the USA National team, they also ruled the court on the year 1954, 1986 and 1994.

Though some of the Most Valuable Players (MVP’s) award winning players of NBA like Lebron James and Kobe Bryant will not be included in the USA roster, their lineup is still equipped with star players of NBA and indeed

hard to ignore in the court. The team game plays and plans will be strategized by their General-like coach Mike Krzyzewski.

Setting the plays for the Team USA will be Kyrie Irving of Cleveland Cavaliers, Damian Lillard Portland Trail Blazers, Derrick Rose of Chicago Bulls and Stephen Curry of Golden State Warrior.

Strengthening the scoring opportunities for the no. 1 team in FIBA World Cup will be Chandler Parsons of Dallas Mavericks, James Harden of Houston Rockets, Kyle Korver of Atlanta Hawks and Gordon Hayward of Utah Jazz.

Taking charge of within the arc shooting will be shot by Kevin Durant of Oklahoma City Thunders, Anthony Davis of New Orlean Pelicans, Kenneth Farried of Denver Nuggets, DeMar Derozan of Toronto Raptors and Klay Thompson.

And to secure in rebounding every missed shots, under the basket are the USA towering center players Andre DRUMMOND of Detroit Pistons and DeMarcus Cousins of Sacramento Kings.

The tip-off for the much anticipated skirmish in the world of basketball will be whistled few weeks from now. The only question for the USA national team is that, can they still hold the golden ball on top to remain number one in world court? Or is it time for them to be substituted by more title-hungry teams?
