Besides from the most awaited event for the most viewed sport in world, FIFA World Cup that was recently concluded last July which brought glory to the champion team, Germany, another much anticipated event in the field of sport, basketball, is now nearing and is now bringing excited uproar for its billion of viewers around the world.
Aside from the National Basketball Association (NBA) Cup, another much looked-for competition in the world of basketball is the FIBA World Cup which will be lit up this last days of the month on the host country, Spain. This is the collisions among the 24 countries who qualified in the said event. Battling to become the number national basketball team in the world.
This year’s Basketball World Cup will be battled by the 24 trophy-hungry countries which came from the different region of the world which, at first, struggled on their respective qualifying cup to secure their tickets to the Cup host country and to list their national teams for this season’s World Cup.
The 24-country list consists of three from Asia, three from Africa, two from Oceania, four from Americas Championship, six from the EuroBasket, the host country (Spain), the 2012 Olympics Champion (USA) and four of the wildcard selections.
