Spain is one of the center points of the most viewed sports in the world, soccer. They home some of the toughest soccer clubs in the world such as Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Switching our conversation to the most prestigious soccer tournament in the world, FIFA World Cup, Spain had contributed astounding part in the history of the said tournament. Their highest achievement was during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in which they had reached for the first time the final match of tournament against Netherlands and bagged home their first World Cup title.

Looking on to the players of the Spain national football team, specifically on the players who had stored most of the goals for the team, the name David Villa will surely appear on top who boot in a total of eight goals.

This Spanish striker had already appeared three times in FIFA World Cup since 2006 until the recent World Cup. His first goal in his career in the said most prominent tournament was during the 17th minute of their match against Ukraine in the first round of 2006 FIFA World Cup. In that match also, picked as the one to kick the penalty at the 48th minute, Villa had put in his second goal bringing their team for a win with a final score of 4-0.

David’s five goals in World Cup had jolted the net in his second appearance on 2010.

In which he dribbled his team with three goals in the first round, one goal in the round-of-16 and one goal during the quarterfinal of the said year.

David Villa’s 8th goal had helped the Spanish national team to beat the country from Oceania, Australia with a final score of 3-0.

This key player of Spain was born in Langreo, Spain on December 3, 1981. He started his senior career in the year 1999-2001 for the club Sporting Gijȯn B with a 65 appearances striking in 25 goals. Leveling up for his current team that time, he became regular of Sporting Gijȯn in 2001 up to 2003 appearing for 80 times and contributing 38 goals for the club.

Transferring to another team in the year 2003 up to 2005, Villa had appeared for the club Zaragoza for 73 times with a record of 32 goals.

In the year 2005 until 2010, David transferred to Valencia, earning a record of 108 goals in his 166 appearances.

Another tough club Villa join was the FC Barcelona. He had net in 33 goals in his 77 appearances.

Before he became a loan player for his current team, Melbourne City, David Villa had emerged on the 36 matches of Atletico Madrid dashing in 13 goals.
